Rivendell | Wedding Inspiration Shoot

The untouched wilderness of Rivendell, where New Zealand's native rainforest spills down steep gully's to the edge of the grey stone banks of the Hutt river, provided the moody location for our romantic wedding inspiration shoot. Sheltering from the rain, under a dripping tree canopy, in your lovers arms.

Inspired by the elegance of Anna Campbell's 'Coco' dress with it's delicate silver, pearl, and crystal beaded bodice, Madame Fancy Pants made custom chain and crystal earrings to complete Amy's look. Richard wears a classic black and white bow tie dinner suit from Crane Brothers. Finished with a wild bouquet by Swoon Flowers, of silvered eucalyptus foliage, with soft cream and dusty pinks blooms to warm, and a splash of mustard to compliment the stone.

Charlotte & Chris | Poronui Wedding

Some times you think booking a wedding a five hour drive away from the wedding the day before it is a bad idea. But then the Bride convinces you it will be worth it, so you finish shooting a mind blowing, epic wedding in Martinborough, caffeine up, and drive through the night to Taupo. And another mind blowing, epic wedding is waiting for you. And you think… YES, good choice Sarah.

Charlotte & Chris’ wedding is on Together Journal.

I know it’s a hard process when you have a creative vision and you need a team to bring it to life for you. These two got some really top notch vendors on board, and then they trusted us. Thank you Charlotte & Chris, x Sarah.

Alex & Polly | Titahi Bay, Wellington Wedding

A couple of weeks ago I got the most lovely email from Polly. "I just wanted to say thank you so much for the magic you created with your camera at our wedding. I look through our photos almost every week and find something new to see, laugh at, treasure and enjoy every time. We had such a fun, loving day and I think our photos really captured that." Naww! I mean that's the flippen goal right there isn't it.

Weddings are brilliant celebrations of love, and these two knocked it out the park with this one. But I've got a feeling their marriage is going to be even more awesome.

PS: Overheard guest quote when Mr Whippy arrived: "THIS IS THE BEST WEDDING EVER"

PPS: On another Mr Whippy note, it was pretty big day for Polly, what with getting married and getting her first ever double cone ice cream!
